To drive its rapid growth and support its upcoming projects, the Lemonway team welcomes its new Lemon Hero: Antoine Courault, Financial Controller.
After studying business in various regions of France, Antoine worked for more than three years at PwC, including a 6-month term in Munich in the Transaction Service department. This opportunity allowed him to gain expertise in the purchase and sale of businesses of all sizes by analysing their financial due diligence. Now, Antoine intends to build upon this formative and fruitful experience to improve Lemonway’s financial management and help drive its growth.
Joining a start-up gave Antoine the opportunity to take on responsibilities right from the start, and the satisfaction of being part of an exciting project. “During the job interviews and my first few months at Lemonway, I’ve had the pleasure of working in direct contact with the different teams (finance, sales, innovation, marketing, etc.). Through these exchanges, I’m always informed of what’s going on within the company. Now, how could I ever get bored with my job?”
Antoine also likes working in a challenging area such as payment, as it is both technical, technological and fast-evolving. “Many of our clients have innovative business models based on the latest technology developments and their daily uses. Contributing to these transformations, even indirectly, is a thrilling experience.”
Antoine’s main challenge will be to improve the overall understanding of Lemonway’s business in order to take more relevant decisions going forward. This entails implementing an ERP software that will make it easier to track activity while providing the company with the powerful tool it needs to drive its future growth.
“I’m just trying to stay true to myself and relaxed in all circumstances. That’s a good start, don’t you think?”
As a true music lover, Antoine is never far from his headphones and frequently attends rock concerts. “After a busy week, there’s no better way to blow off some steam and have a good time!”
He is also passionate about travel: “Before joining Lemonway, I spent 40 days in Argentina on a solo trip. That’s a wonderful destination I’d recommend to everyone.”
